Vasco Grilo

THE ARTIST A Milan and Lisbon based artist, Vasco Grilo has been developing his skills in collage, graphic design, painting and digital art. Originally from Lisbon with a engineering and managerial background, Vasco blends his skills with his passion for traditional painting and photography, in order to bring about art pieces which pick up from a multitude of mediums and styles.
Most recently, Vasco has been using algorithmic and generative tools and mixed media as a means to tell stories which explore the depths of human consciousness, the nature of relationships and the way we look at and interpret the human body and movement. Visually, he is strongly influenced by the Surrealist and Dada movements, contemporary painting, 80’s and 90’s European comics artists and the great photographers of the XX century.

Diasec

OUR TECHNOLOGY Our artwork pieces are sold mounted in Diasec https://www.diasec.com/. Diasec is the first system that allows printed materials to be bonded directly and permanently to an Acrylic sheet. It is the worlds most established and quality proven face-mounting process. Prints are mounted to high exhibition standards without borders and eliminate the need for a traditional picture frame. The light penetration and the refraction of clear Acrylic, it produces higher image definition, brilliant color and a fine detailed texture to photographic works. Diasec also contains (UV) light inhibitors to help protect the image from ultraviolet (UV) light. It also offers a custom made wood or Aluminium Sub-frame that allows the artwork to hang floating on the wall, with no obvious means of support. Diasec is a worldwide trademark registered by Diasec-Sovilla S.A. in Switzerland.
